神よ 我らの友である動物たちに 心からの祈りをささげ給う
矢に射止められ銃の前に倒れた友よ もはや神にめされた友よ
何かにおびえる友よ 飢えにさまよう友よ 死を選択せざるをえない友よ
苦悩に身をゆだねるすべての友のために 皆の深い慈悲と哀れみを乞う
そんな友と接にかかわる者よ どうかあつい情と心からのいつくしみ
そしてやさしい言葉をかけ給う
動物たちの真の友となり 慈悲の恵みが分かちあえるように
Hear our humble prayer, O God, for our friends,the animals.
Especially for animals who are suffering; for any that are
hunted or lost or deserted or frightened or hungry;
for all that must be put to death.
We entreat for them, all Thy mercy and pity.
And for those who deal with them, we ask a heart of compassion,
gentle and kindly words.
Make us true friends of the animals and so to share the belessings
of the merciful.
