動物愛護団体アーク[Animal Refuge Kansai]

Animal Refuge Kansai (ARK) is a none profit animal shelter in Nose, Japan.
ARK is probably the only one of its kind in the whole country. At any one time there are close to 300 dogs, cats, rabbits, goats and horses to name a few. The director of the shelter, MS.Elizabeth Oliver came to Japan some 25 years ago from England ; She started ARK in1990 to alleviate the pathetic situation of unwanted pets here. ARK is constantly in need of volunteers with skills and compassion for animals. ARK can be contacted by email.

　動物のスポンサーって？　(What is pet sponsership?)

　アークでスポンサーに援助されているのは、良い里親が見つかるチャンスがほとんどない動物達です。年を取っている、身体に障害がある、特別な介護をいつも必要とするといった動物達や、阪神大震災の被災した身寄りのない動物達です。でも、みんなすごくかわいいです。

　すべてのスポンサーには、アークの季刊誌「A Voice for Animals」とスポンサー証明書、それに、あなたの選んだ動物の写真をお送りします。

　あなたがスポンサーになったペットに会いに何度でもお越し下さい。アークはいつでも歓迎します。

　動物１匹にかかる費用は年間で150,000円をはるかに越えます。この費用には、血液検査やワクチン接種、フィラリア予防薬のような基本的な医療費、快適な飼育施設のための費用、動物の世話をするスタッフの給与が含まれます。
